Please carefully read and understand our return/exchange policy before placing an order.
EXETER JEWELERS INC. has a TEN (10) day Return Policy.
All merchandise being returned by mail to EXETER JEWELERS INC. will require a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization number) which will be given through an Exeter Jewelers representative ONLY via E-mail. The return label must be clearly displayed on the outside of the package. The item being returned must be insured and traceable. If the item is sent uninsured or without proof of tracking it will not be accepted, and EXETER JEWELERS INC. will not be held liable for said return in any way. Please be advised that the shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. EXETER JEWELERS INC. is not responsible for return shipping or insurance charges. It is in your best interest to insure items being returned for their full value in case of theft or loss during transit. Please follow up with us in 2-3 weeks after items have been shipped if you have not received notice by E-mail that your items have been received. Refunds, exchanges, or credits will be posted only after careful inspection of the item being returned. EXETER JEWELERS INC. is not responsible for loss or damage of return shipments.
The merchandise must be returned in it’s original condition, with the receipt, the original packing material, and with tags still attached. If an appraisal or grading report was requested and sent with the purchase we will expect that to accompany the returned merchandise. Grading reports are very detailed, lengthy and costly, as they are created in diamond laboratories by diamond grading experts. As such they are expensive to replicate. If you received a grading report and it is not returned with the item, grading reports carry a replacement fee of $150.00.
Any item that has been modified from it’s original condition in any way will not be deemed acceptable for return, exchange, credit or refund. This also means that if an item has been custom made, sized, special ordered, or altered in any way to the specifications of the customer, then it cannot be returned. NO EXCEPTIONS. Items without proof of purchase/gifts can be returned for STORE CREDIT ONLY.
Purchasing comparison items is strictly discouraged. In order to better serve you and keep our prices low we must insist that you do not purchase several items for comparison with the intent of keeping one and returning the rest. This creates loss of time, restocking and inventory issues, and will only serve to increase our overhead. If you have questions about particular products for comparison reasons, please contact our store and one of our associates will gladly assist you.
The return process can be summed up in the following way:
Step 1) Telephone 603-772-4511 to speak with one of our associates regarding your return. This associate will sign off on your return if it is deemed acceptable. You will then be provided with an E-mail referencing a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization number) which must be clearly printed on the outside of your package.
Step 2) The package must be sent to this address, for security reasons DO NOT PRINT Exeter Jewelers on your package, instead label the return as follows:

Step 3) INSURE THE PACKAGE. The price you paid on your original invoice for the item being returned is the amount it should be insured for.
If the item being returned is valued less than $150.00 you may use any carrier you wish- Fed Ex, UPS or USPS. Insure the item for the full value and get a return receipt for tracking confirmation that your returned item has reached our store.
If the item being returned is valued at more than $500.00, your item must be shipped via USPS – United States Postal Service by REGISTERED MAIL. Insure the item for the full value and get a return receipt for tracking confirmation that your returned item has reached our store.
NOTE– FED-EX and UPS WILL NOT insure any items valued over $500.00, so it is your responsibility to ensure that they are properly returned based on their value, so that they are properly insured and can be tracked.
If you have received a gift purchased at EXETER JEWELERS INC. and wish to return/exchange it we will gladly issue you a store credit for the purchase price under the condition that the item being returned may not have been altered in any way from it’s original condition. Gifts that have been custom sized, custom created, or custom ordered may not be returned. Please follow the instructions listed above for returns, and provide information, including the inventory number and a brief description of the item you would like to exchange for.
Although we make every effort to insure that all the items we ship leave our store in perfect condition, sometimes there are unforeseen problems in transit and/or accidents may occur.
Please remember that items are shipped to you insured and that your payment will be credited to your account as long as the damage is reported immediately. The package must be inspected upon delivery prior to your signing for it, to ensure that the package and its contents have arrived in the original condition and are undamaged. If any damage is apparent please bring it to the attention of the carrier so that they make note of damage, make a report, and then notify their local office to request a Damage Inspection Report. Be sure to keep all original packaging, in the event that a return or exchange is necessary. Please contact our customer service department with any questions.
